I think it's safe to say that all little girls love fairies...maybe big girls too. A few weeks ago Parker went to a week long girl scout camp. I also volunteered for three of the five days with a group of fourth graders. One of the activities was to make fairy houses. It was just kind of something that they worked on all week whenever they had time. And every spare chance they got, those girls were working on them. There were high school girls who were there as program assistants and they were totally into the fairy houses as well. It was really sweet. The one rule was that aside from a tiny ball of natural clay that they each got, they could only use what they found in nature for the houses. And they were so creative with their houses...I loved watching how they evolved.
The last picture is of Parker's house. She was so excited to show it to me when I picked her up on the day that she had finished it. Now she's picking out every spot in our own yard that would make a good fairy house...even though we already have a fairy garden!
