A few happenings from around here...
We had amazing 80 degree weather last week. Of course it's back to our typical rainy spring but it was a little taste of the amazing Seattle summers that we have and that's hopefully coming our way.
Parker had her "friend" birthday party to wrap up her never ending birthday week. When we went back east she celebrated with my mom by going to the American Girl Doll store, her cousins in New Jersey threw her a party, she had a "family" party with her cousins here in Seattle, and of course had a quick celebration with cookies at school. But we kept the friend one mellow...she had a few girls over for a movie and popcorn, they had pizza and cake and then played outside a bit. But I'm glad it's done...it really was a full week of partying!
Parker's Girl Scout troop went horse back riding with the money that they made from cookie sales. It was a 3 hour lesson and trail ride and a great program overall. Parker had such a great time and just adores riding horses.
How cool is this mural? The 5th graders at P's school made it last week out on their playground. It was all chalk so sadly it's mostly been washed away by the rain.
And finally...I did a ton of screenprinting today. Most of you have probably seen this design on my City Kid FB page, but I am slightly obsessed with it. Stephanie Corfee did the art and these will all be made into racerback tank dresses and short sleeved dresses for summer. They should be up on my site next week!
