That's about how I'm feeling right now! Basically, running a new business as a one man show easily demands more than 8 hours a day. I'm lucky if I get a full 6 hours a day while Parker is in school. And the end of the school year is killing me and eating alive all of my work time! Parker had a dr's appointment today so I just dropped her off at school (it's 10:45 right now) and then I have to be back at the school at 1 for the talent show which will last until 3. So I get about 2 whole hours to actually work today...wooo hoo! 2 whole hours! And yesterday was a 1:30 pick up day so my work day was cut in half. I don't think I've have had a "full" week of work in several weeks! Next week there are presentations at school to go to, dance recital rehearsals that start before the end of the school day that I have to pick her up early for...the list goes on and on! I'm so excited for the school year to be done so there will be no more of this craziness! But you know what the ironic thing is? Once school is done Parker will be home with me almost full time! I'm excited to hang out with her but when am I going to actually work?! In addition to our own summer trips, family visiting, swim lessons and dance class, I do have her signed up for 3 weeks of camp. The funny thing is that only one of them-the Girl Scout camp, is all day, all week and to get a break on the cost of camp for her, I am volunteering for 3 of the 5 days! I guess I will be working nights and weekends this summer.
Is anyone else feeling this flustered with the end of the school year craziness?! I'm sure you are. And I guess I'd better get some sewing done because now I'm down to about an hour and 45 minutes for today! Thanks for letting me vent!
