I think that most bloggers out there are probably posting super cute Pinterest worthy Valentine's crafts, cards, etc....right now. Well this year you you won't get that from me! I'm sure that I've succombed to that in the past. But you know what?! I just don't have time for that sh** this year. And you know what else?! I don't think that my daughter really gives a crap that her friends won't be getting super cute and creative Valentines from her. Because in the end I just end up doing them all anyway. And really, all she wants is the store bought My Little Pony cards. So that's what we got...store bought My Little Pony cards. And it worked out perfectly...because I didn't have to nag her to color, create, write the message, etc...on 25 cards. She just wrote the kids' name and her name on her little store bought beauties and was done in about 10 minutes-without me even asking. Perfect!
So what are the 14 days of Love? Well one thing I did decide to do is everyday starting on February 1st was to write something I love about Parker on a heart and stick it on her door. So every day when she wakes up (or after school cuz some nights I forget) she has a new little love note on her door. You may be thinking..."well that's pinteresty isn't it" No no...don't be mistaken-it takes about 3 minutes a night...I just quickly cut a heart, write a little something about her that I love and tape it to her door-boom done! I figure I'd rather be putting that time into creating something that will fill my own kid with love than crafting away on something that will just get thrown in the trash but someone else's kid...right?!
And here are our store bought My Little Pony Valentine's...Parker was delighted upon opening the package to discover that they're actually stickers:
