First up, this lovely lady turned 9 this past weekend! Time flies-I feel like we just got her. And I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing dog she is. So loyal and loving. And super mellow for a lab...she's only crazy when she's at the beach or some place that she can run free. At home she's as calm as can be. We are lucky to have her as part of our family!
Secondly, this little lady got her ears pierced! Can you see those little stars on her ears?! I was really torn about this. For a while I had said not until she was ten. But she has been wanting this so badly for a while now. And a lot of girls in her class already have thier ears pierced. And she's pretty good about brushing her hair, brushing her teeth, etc....so I figured she could handle the maintenance of cleaning them etc.... When we actually went she was super excited but also really nervous-or "nervousited" as she calls it. When the gal did the first ear Parker was laughing as she started and then crying when it was done. And for the second one she was just crying! But as you can see she's pretty excited about it! My little girl is growing up for sure!
And finally, Parker and I got super crafty this weekend. She has been loving painting with acrylics on canvases lately. So while she did that I painted a frame to hold City Kid pictures to use at craft fairs. I'm not quite done, but I'll be sure to post a pic of the final product. But below is a pic of one of P's canvases. She painted over it several times and when she was finally happy with it, we cut out the butterfly and heart stencil using the Cameo, stuck it on the painting and then she painted that black. I think it's super cute...she LOVES spending time doing this activity.
By the way...is it fall wherever you are?! It has officially arrived in Seattle. The leaves are turning and falling, it's cold, windy and rainy. But I actually like it! I know, I know, I complain about the weather here a lot. But it feels okay since it's almost October. I won't like it when it's still doing it in April or May! But for now I'll enjoy it!
