I took a little time out from City Kid sewing yesterday to make something for my little P. I have tons of pieces of scrap fabric that are not quite big enough to make a single item of clothing, but too big to really go into my scrap bin. So yesterday I whipped up this super cute skirt all out of big pieces of scraps...hence the "scrappy skirt!" I didn't take many pictures of the how to process, but I basically just cut eight equal pieces of fabric to form the pattern of a circle skirt, sewed them together and then sewed on a foldover waistband. So easy!
I think I will definitely be adding this item to the City Kid line. It's a great way to use up extra fabric and because it's a fairly quick and easy sew, I can probably sell them for less than most items! Now how about a few modeling pictures:
terrible lighting, I know...but she's just so darn cute!
Wow...this skirt has maximum twirl capability!
Now...Onto other happenings....
We made a little purse for our Paris bunny, Sophie:
And finally...I have a pitiful sick little P at home today. We'll be snuggling on the couch and watching a lot of TV today.
Happy Thursday!

Sophie the Paris Bunny is adorable! Did you make her too?
