So there they are...my resolutions for 2013. I don't think I even need to explain the first two. They're probably pretty common and typical...spend more quality time with my kid and be healthier. In case you're wondering what the "more bar" is, it's my favorite workout...see here for more detail. And the "more juicing" is cutting out unhealthy snacks and replacing them with yummy healthy juices made with our new juicer.
But now for the exciting stuff.....Starting a business! Yes-I'm going to give it a shot and I'm super excited about it! As some of you may know I've been semi-retired from professional life for about 8 months now. While it has been delightful, we unfortunately can't really afford this lovely lifestyle of me being a stay at home mom for much longer. And I can't even fathom going back to a corporate lifestyle and answering to someone's else's schedule and demands. I want the flexibility to be able to create my own schedule and spend quality time with my little P. So what's a girl to do?! Well, anyone who reads this blog knows that I like to sew...actually like may be an understatement. I often spend my 5 hours of time while P is at school every day sewing. So instead of sewing stuff for P and for us...I'm going to sew my little heart out and try and sell it all!
So...introducing City Kid Style..."Cool Comfy Clothes for your Hip Little City Kid!" I've got the business license, I've got the url and I've got the clothing tags. I just have to build myself the website and start sewing my life away! I'm hoping to have a website linked to either an etsy shop or a big cartel shop by late spring. And of course I'll be posting some peeks at my progress along the way. But in the mean time take a look at my cute clothing tags...I love how they turned out...
Happy Wednesday and Cheers to a new year and to new adventures!!
