I'm combining two posts in one today! First of all, I finally have some photos to share of the 2011 Beats for Boobs event. Yes, yes I know-it was several months ago...unfortunately I didn't bring my own camera this year so I've been waiting for the professional photos to be posted on facebook which they recently were. So, a few highlights:

Once again, I was thrilled to play a part in this amazing event. I won't go into detail but for more information see my post on the 2010 event here. I will say that the fashion show is always the highlight of the evening for me. Specifically seeing the survivor models strutting down the runway to the blaring music holding up their signs saying "I am a survivor," It sends goosebumps down my spine! Crazy enough, it is already time to start preparations for next year's event. I'm not sure that I will play as larage a role this time around. It's definitely a time comittment and I'm feeling that I need to devote more time to P's elementary school next year. That being said, I will definitely be involved in some way, no matter how small!
Now...onto the second and crafty part of this post....Some new fabric just appeared on my doorstep that I'm super excited for:
How adorable are the white and green little girl fabrics? I'm thinking of coordinating them with the orange flowered fabric to make reversable skirts. And the apple fabric is jersey knit...I'm thinking of some fun comfy play pants for my P....she loves her comfy pants! And I have a few sweet little girls in mind for the skirts!
I'm getting my new serger some time in the next week, so I'll be holding off on these projects until then. Stay tuned!
